Anna D. Shapiro is a Tony Award-winning director and former Artistic Director of Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She won the 2008 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play for August: Osage County and was nominated in 2011 in the same category for The Motherf**ker with the Hat. Her Broadway production of The Minutes received a 2022 Tony nomination as Best Play. Her production of Eureka Day won the 2025 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play
