Ian Barford is an actor and writer. He is the co-creator of ANIMALS, a new ensemble comedy in development with Brendan Hunt and Jane Lynch. He is also developing THIS LAND OF BLOOD, a new drama series depicting the unique revolutionary bond between Frederick Douglass and John Brown. As an actor, he received a TONY nomination and an Outer Critics award for his performance in LINDA VISTA on Broadway, his fourth collaboration with Tracy Letts. He also originated the role of Little Charles in AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY which won the Pulitzer Prize and a TONY award for Best Play. Other Broadway credits include: THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME (TONY award for Best Play), THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE and THE MINUTES. In Los Angeles he has appeared at the Geffen Playhouse, the Ahmanson and the Mark Taper Forum. He is a longtime member of the Steppenwolf Theater ensemble and is a proud graduate of Illinois State University.
